  • Alberto Cunha

    Alberto is an FCT-funded PhD candidate and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Department of European and International Studies at King‘s College London, where he is a member of The European Foreign Policy Research Group and the Centre for German Transnational Relations. Alberto has an initial background in Economics and Business Administration (Bachelor and MSc, followed by two stints in the private sector) and an MSc in International Relations from the University of Lisbon, before working in Portuguese embassies: six months as an intern in the Portuguese Representation to the OECD and one year as a Political Analyst in the Portuguese Embassy to the USA.

  • Daniel Gheorge

    Daniel is a highly trained professional in Foreign Affairs and Government Relations with a strong interest in Israeli and Russian politics. He currently works as an Expert Consultant at the “Theodor Herzl” Centre for Israeli Studies, part of the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) in Bucharest. After a Master’s degree in Security and Diplomacy at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration of Bucharest and a following master’s degree at the Higher School of Economics of Moscow, Daniel became a PhD student at SNSPA with a research focused on the EU-Israel relations. In the past, he worked as an Intern at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute, the Skolkovo Foundation and Hill+Knowlton Strategies in Moscow, and at the European Commission.

  • Daniela Glatz

    Daniela Glatz is currently finishing her master‘s in Peace and Conflict Studies at the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg, where she focuses on topics as security studies, peace operations with a particular focus on Ukraine, and European Studies, with a focus on PESCO. She also studied pedagogy at the Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg and currently works as a teacher at primary and secondary schools. Daniela worked as an Intern at Vision of Hope, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Kiew, as the ZIF (Zentrum für internationale Friedenseinsätze GmbH). She is also engaged in several associations as SMD Germany and the ‘Christlicher Jungendbung Bayern’.

  • Romain Le Quiniou

    Romain Le Quiniou is a Foreign Policy and International Affairs Analyst at WiseEuropa (Warsaw, Poland). He is also co-founder of the Parisian think tank Euro Créative, which focuses on central and eastern Europe. Romain did a preparatory class before joining Sciences Po Aix for his Masters in History, Geostrategy and Defence and Security. He also joined the KU Leuven University to complete a second Masters in European Studies, where he focused on comparative studies of defence strategies and transnational and global perspectives of security politics.

  • Ambika Varma

    Ambika Varma is a research consultant with a Bachelor‘s degree from York University in biomedical sciences and a Master‘s degree from SciencesPo Paris in international security. Currently, she has several projects on the go, including being a Functional Expert at QuakeLab, where she works on advancing anti-racist policies and a consultant at Catalystas Consulting, where she works on communications and international development projects. She is also a casual researcher at Oxford University and volunteers at Women of Colour Advancing Peace and Security (WCAPS).

  • Tareq Zahw

    Tareq Zahw, M.Sc. is a Project Manager & Energy Expert at intec-GOPA International Energy Consultants. He has been working for 11 years in energy advisory and consulting, covering various studies in the value chain of renewable energy industries, energy policies, due diligence, technology selection, bankability, Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), investment plans, contracts and transactions. He has been involved in consulting multilateral agencies, governmental entities, utilities, Independent Power Producers (IPP) and financial institutions. Being based in Germany, his international experience covers developing and emerging markets in 15 countries in the Middle East, North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa and Central Asia.

  • Sebastian Stölting

    Sebastian Stölting is a Strategy Consultant focusing on strategizing and foresight scenario development for institutions like the World Bank, the United Nations and also private companies. He studied Political Science and International Relations at the George Washington University, the University of Amsterdam, Cairo University, and the University of Technology Dresden. Sebastian was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to pursue studies.

  • Rebecca Farulli

    Rebecca Farulli is a master’s student in International Security Studies at the Universita di Trento and at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. She also studied big data, cyber-intelligence and security of critical infrastructures at the SIOI (Societa Italiana per l’Organizzazione Internationale).

    Rebecca currently works as a trainee at the German Marshall Fund of the United States. She has also worked as a research associate intern at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin, where she focussed on the EU, Foreign and Security Policy, as Justice and Home Affairs. She was also engaged as a delegate for the Rome International Model United Nations.

  • Lucas Hellemeier

    Lucas Hellemeier is a first-year Ph.D. student at Freie Universität Berlin’s John F. Kennedy Institute (JFKI). His research interests include defence economics, arms trade, and hegemonic strategy. He holds a BA in political science from the University of Technology Dresden and an MA in North American Studies from the JFKI. Lucas was recently a Visiting Student Researcher at Carleton University’s Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) and is a member of the Network of European Peace Scientists and a former scholarship holder at the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
